Aloha everyone,
It truly is hard to believe it, but we have come to the end of our seventh Honolulu Altered Books Group round robin. It started in July 2010 and ended in June 2012. What a ride it has been. We have seen so much fantastic and inspirational art work throughout this round robin. It has been a labor of love bringing you this blog each month. You may be surprised how may people around the world have viewed your art. Here is a rundown of countries that have looked at our art: Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, Russian Federation, Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Italy, Hong Kong, Philippines, Mexico, France, Peru, South Africa, Egypt, New Zealand, Malaysia, Columbia, Poland, Belgium, India, Lithuania, Turkey, Ukraine, Israel, Slovakai, Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark, Korea, Czech Republic, Ireland, Pakistan and of course the United States.
For those of you on the mainland, your books are on the way. We can't wait to hear feed back from you about your books. We boxed them up at the end of our meeting on Saturday, so keep an eye out for your package.

Thanks again to Deb Z for the use of Rubber Stamp Plantation as our meeting place.

Deb Z's  Ensō (円相) is a Japanese word meaning "circle" and a concept strongly associated with Zen. Ensō is one of the most common subjects of Japanese calligraphy even though it is a symbol and not a character. It symbolizes absolute enlightenment, strength, elegance, the universe, and the void; it can also symbolize the Japanese aesthetic itself. As an "expression of the moment" it is often considered a form of minimalist expressionist art.
