Welcome to the second round of the 2010/2011 Honolulu Altered Books round robin.

We continue to see some amazing art created by our very talented participants. We look forward to the next meeting to see what new techniques and surprises turn up.

The true artist's heart searches not for treasure at rainbow's end;

Altered Book Round Robin Meeting July 10, 2010

What a wonderful round robin meeting we had this month. As always

we gathered at Deb Z's Rubber Stamp Plantation for our

monthly meeting. It's just a matter of time before these books are bursting with fantastic art and take on a life of there own.The artwork so far is very inspiring and we can't wait until next month's meeting to come around.

As a reminder to our players who do not live in Hawaii, please be sure to mail your art with plenty of time for the long journey to the islands. Of the nine players who live off island, we only

received art from four players in time for our meeting. We really look forward to sharing all the art during the monthly meeting and getting it posted to the blog.

Latest book to arrive in Honolulu

This is Lorraine Haralson's book. It arrived after our first meeting.

This is another great example of some wonderful artwork to look forward to.

Lorraine's theme is: Free to fly- imaginations, dreams, create, craziness- just be happy!

Art enables us to find ourselves and to lose ourselves at the same time.

These are just a few words to describe the June 12th meeting of the Honolulu Altered Books Group as we kicked off our 7th Round Robin. We are fortunate to belong to this group of twenty two talented artist dedicated to sharing techniques.
